My phone is not working correctly, what should I do?
My phone is not working correctly, what should I do? If your phone has crashed or a particular feature has stopped working remove the battery without switching the phone off and, having left it for a couple of minutes, put it back in and switch the phone back on.
If your handset is having problems making and receiving calls and switching it off and back on again does not cure the problem, try a 'manual roam'. To do this go to the network search or operator selection mode on the phone and instigate a new search. When the list of networks available appears choose one other than the network you are on. The phone will try to connect to that network and should fail. Once this happens select your network from the list, re-establishing your network connection. If this does not help try your sim card in another phone to see if the problem still exists. If it does you should contact the network you are with to report the fault.
If these steps do not cure the problem, your phone may need a software upgrade or to be sent back to the manufacturer for servicing.
The following manufacturers allow you to upgrade the software on certain devices from their websites, providing you have a usb cable to connect your mobile to your pc. If you do not have a cable please contact us for details.
