Tackling convergence
Recent developments have resulted in Grapevine's clients requiring integration of their mobile and fixed 'in-house' IT systems. Ed's role is to support existing Grapevine customers and develop new opportunities in this rapidly expanding sector. The appointment also gives Grapevine a more knowledgeable link into their strategic partnerships that have recently been established with dedicated IT companies.
Benefits all round
Grapevine Telecom's Managing Director Brian Vockins is excited by the appointment. Brian comments: "With Ed coming on board, we have increased the support available to current clients, whilst the potential to utilise his skills to identify and promote new mobile information technologies will bring great benefits to Grapevine."
Tackling new technology
The new IT / Data Support Manager is also motivated by the role. Ed explains: "I am very excited about this new opportunity. It shows Grapevine to be a forward thinking company who are keen to embrace new technology further. My role will be challenging but also incredibly interesting, as looking to the future, I believe that there is a massive, potentially untapped market, for mobile technologies that offer true benefits for our clients".

The only problem facing Grapevine now is confusion over names, with the new recruit sharing the first name of Grapevine's Account Manager, Ed Shaw! |
