Grapevine, the mobile communication specialist, is celebrating fifteen years of trading this month. The company began as a three person operation in 1991, establishing a base in Bath and gaining customers across the South West. The company has grown to one that now employees eleven staff across two offices, managing a customer base of over one thousand local businesses.
Brian Vockins, Managing Director, along with his wife Hilary, Company Secretary, and Sales Director Pete Boby established Grapevine in the infancy of the mobile telecommunications revolution. Since this time, there has been a rapid and continual development in the industry. This has seen an evolution from the original mobile 'bricks' to palm sized 'smart' devices like BlackBerry and Treo, which now offer a multitude of functions like real-time email access.
As Brian Vockins explains, the technological development shows no sign of slowing down: "Innovation is constant in our industry and pivotal developments are never far away. We are delighted to have built an excellent knowledge base and experience over the fifteen years, as this is important when recommending solutions and assisting local organisations with their mobile requirements."

Mr Vockins continues by adding: "Our longevity is also testament to a loyal customer base, so maintaining a high level of service has been at the heart of our business from the outset. We have excellent levels of customer retention, and everything we do is based on maintaining this support. This is the plan for many more years to come!"
Grapevine's approach is with dedicated offices in Bath and Poole designed for business users to experience the latest technology at first hand and at their convenience. This is matched with account management teams offering their expert knowledge with a personal approach and their status as a 'Premier Partner' of Vodafone, acting as the network's representative to manage and support the accounts of businesses in the South West.
