The winners of Grapevine's third annual Christmas card design competition, held amongst pupils at Peasedown St. John Primary School, have just been announced.
Due to the high quality of entries, the judges decided to award a joint first prize to Lauren Diffey of sunflower class and Taylor Paradise of emerald class.
Both winners received gift vouchers, whilst Grapevine contributed £150 towards school funds, as the competition is to used to create the design for the Bath-based company's 'e-Christmas card'. The contribution will help support the school's 'Buddy Scheme'.

One of the reasons for the approach is to help reduce the environmental impact of sending traditional Christmas cards to Grapevine's contacts. As Grapevine's Sales Director Pete Boby explains: "Now in its third year, this concept is ideal. It allows Grapevine to pass on our best wishes at Christmas with a minimal drain on resources. Also, it helps support a good cause and it is a method that is extremely well received by all."
In addition, Mr Boby comments: "We would like to express our thanks to Peasedown St. John Primary for staging the competition, and most of all, the pupils who entered. The high standard meant that judging was no easy task, and because of this, we now have a wonderful visual for our greeting."
